I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
